November 14- 18: Our Thanksgiving Unit

     This week we took off from HOD to focus on Thanksgving. We looked up verses on thankfulness did a big what we are thankful for writing, competes a quiz in CLE math, read a ton of Thanksgiving books, did some art, learned the importance of a stem, and the girls did their China projects.

Monday:

Ian did some sight words on a turkey, took a math quiz and scored well,  did some reading from AAR, and we read one of my favorite pumpkin books!!! 

The girls took a math quiz and both scored well!! They started a thankful essay and read about the time of Squanto and also started their projects to conclude our China study. 

Tuesday:
   Today we had co op and piano lessons. Ian and Emersyn's classes had a feast!! Ian and  I made cookies for it!! It was so much fun for them and all their sweet little classmates!! 

Wednesday's

Ian did some reading and we read about the first Thanksgiving in history. We are also learning about leaves and did an experiment! 

The girls are working hard on finishing up their projects for TJ week. Ally is doing a doing a paper doll report and Audrey is writing a letter and drawing a scrapbook all of this is to end our study on China. 

Thursday

Ian learned about turkeys today and hears the story of Pochohantas as well as wrote an poem and did some reading! 

The girls finished up their big thankful essay and their culminating projects in China as well as wrote a poem and did some reading! 

We decided to end our week a day early and enjoy a much needed and well deserved break!!
