April 10-14, 2017

Monday:
Ian did well reading a new story in his reader today. We did some fluency work and practice on sounds. He also did well in math making numbers, working on facts, and more! He really enjoyed planting seeds with his sisters in science!

The girls are learning new teams in geography and using map skills. They are working on plants in science and we plan to visit a nursery this week. They both passed their light unit 6 in math today. They did some reading and comprehension questions in reading and also did a rough draft of a new story for the week.

Tuesday:

Today we had our morning co op classes! My litttle class had fun using map skills to find hidden Easter eggs. The girls had their weekly piano lesson. I read part of our storytime book and we had devotion time as well as having the kids meet their reading and app goals on their Kindles. All of this completed our school day.  We had no ball games or practice today so we enjoyed a night off!!!

Wednesday:

Ian did well on his math today. We did some handwriting practice and read a story out of his AAR reader as well as sight word work with poetry.

Today these girls turned 10 so they had a light and fun day! They wrote a story about being 10, went to a nursery to see different plants, made a co pass, and then did some math and language work. The rest of the day was spent with birthday fun before church.

Thursday:

I really enjoyed Ian's creative writing today! He is enjoying this new book! It was a steal for just $1 in the Target dollar bin. We are working on coloring as he goes through our states symbol coloring book. I am proud of how hard he is working on it. Handwriting is another area we are really working on.

The girls worked on a review in language over vocabulary we have learned. I have found that concepts they remember but the acutala terms they do not They did a math lesson and I am happy that we are a little ahead of my schedule in math but we will still have to work due to the summer to get all of our 400 units done. They are working on a 5th grade level reading comprehensive book and doing very well. This is just good practice for any standardized tests they may take in the future

Friday:

We did a very light day today! My littlest had a big allergy appointment after lunch and the girls had their big birthday party so we had errands to get done for that. We did some reading, piano practice, PE, life skills, storytime, and a little math. We also had our poetry tea time.
