This week was another good week! I thought I would try a little different approach to our blog this week : ) First, I will post what our weekly plan is and then follow it up with photos and captions. As we go about our day, I check off what we get done each day. This is a great help for me because I am a serious type A personality.

| This weeks vocabulary. |
In addition to all of these wonderful activities the girls memorized Proverbs 21:23 about using self control and we read the story of Samson to coincide with it. We read our poem and we had fun clapping and then singing the meter. Since the girls take piano lessons they really enjoyed this and could relate a poems meter to a piece of musics meter. We worked on pronouns in our language study and continued on with our HWOT in handwriting as well as dictation. We will start with dictation passage number 30 next week.
In reading we ended our study of historical fiction and next week we will move on to fantasy. We went ahead and filled in our calendars with out new books and played a fun game of Chutes and Ladders to introduce the genre.
The girls and sometimes Ian really enjoy the hearing the history and science passages I read aloud to them and are getting better each week at narrating them back to me!
