Choices

Today I have a lot of mixed emotions going through my mind and my heart.....it the first day back to school for teachers meaning its my first day NOT to go back to school. I spent 7 years getting ready and looking forward to school so I am still in that state of denial that I won't be doing that again for a while.

I love the big back to school district wide breakfast each year and is a little sad not to be there with my mom, husband, and friends. It is a great way to being a new year and catch up on what everyone did over their time off. I will admit that I also like all the vendors there and the chance to win a prize!!

Paul and I made the choice for me to stay home with our kids and I DO NOT regret that all!! There is a line a mile long of qualified teachers with caring hearts who can fill up young minds with a great education just chomping at the bit to get a job but my kids have only one mom with the qualifications and caring heart to be their mom! I am blessed beyond words at this chance and waking up this morning to have some alone time and see Paul off to work with the realization I won't be going made it all worth it when my kids woke up and ran to me with open arms and kisses! I had a peace in my heart knowing that I don't have to rush them around to be a sitter's house but we can just relax and enjoy our time at home, together!! Thank you God for the opportunity to stay home with my babies!!!!
