A little break...

The Crazy VanEvera Family November 6 - November 12

This week was just wall we all needed, even with the supposed extra hour we got! My kids never get the memo that the time has changed and have been up at 7:00 each day instead of their normal 8:30!

Sunday was a total day of rest for us, especially after getting in late Saturday night from our weekend get away. We made it to church and taught 16 of the sweetest four year olds then came home and crashed!! That afternoon my mom and I took Ally and Ian shopping for items to fill shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child while Audrey stayed with her Pawpaw. I have to say that the whole time shopping, my sweet Ally did not ask for anything for herself, she just wanted things that would make other girls happy on Christmas! She has such a big caring and giving heart, even at four! When we got home, she found a pair of pink high heel dress up play shoes that are her favorite and cleaned them off and put them in the box. She said all little girls need these to play with and she has plenty, they will make a little girl happy. I am so very proud of her and pray her attitude towards giving and helping just increase. She told me later that it makes God happy when she helps people and her too! I cry just thinking about how unselfish she is (most of the time) and how she is following His example and is setting one for others as well.

The rest of the work week, Monday through Friday, was pretty much the same. All of the kids friends came over and we just played and ate Cheerios!! It was some much needed rest after such a busy week last week. I managed to get my house cleaned and laundry and dishes done while the kids all had a grand time playing but not such a grand time when they had to pick up!

The weekend was relaxing as well, just hanging out as a family!
