We had a great weekend!!! We took the girls to Silver Dollar City for a few days to celebrate the end of school!! Most schools in our area have big track and field events and or grade level picnics so we decided to do something fun for our girls and because we have SDC passes we had the perfect choice! Paul took off on Friday and so up went!
We spent about 4 hours at SDC Friday where we rode, ate, got wet, and rode some more and then headed to our hotel for lots of splashing and swimming! We tried a new hotel and it had an indoor/outdoor split combo which all of the kids LOVED! When we finally went to bed we got up and headed back to SDC and spent 10 hours riding! Ian enjoyed riding the little rides by himself or with his sisters, he kept telling us he is such a big boy! Their favorite ride this time was the Riverblast ride where you squirt and then get squirted by others! After such a long day we decided to stay the night and then head home on Sunday after a late breakfast and a little shopping.
On Sunday we had to rush around to get back because the kids had their AWANA closing program. Ian graduated from Puggles to Cubbies and the girls finished year one of Sparks. I am so proud of them! I am however looking forward to these few months off!
This week since the girls are done with school, soccer, and AWANA, we are taking it easy! They still have some art lessons, journals, reading, and learning games they will do three times a week or so but they are done! I think they had a great first year of homeschool!!
After this week are looking forward to a nice long three day weekend and for Daddy to finish up his school year!!
Please start praying now as we have some changes on the horizon for the family, work, and school!
