What a typical busy Monday it has been! I will sat that Monday's usually take the girls longer since they were out of practice for a few days over the weekend! They work hard and do very well and we cover alot of material! Here is a rundown of our day today:
Calendar, Journal, Familiar Reading, Math facts
Math Subtraction Review
Independent Reading with Reading Journal response
5 minute break (They love the new timer I bought )
Art Lesson: Drawing circles to make clowns and balloons
Read Aloud: Magic Treehouse #10 Ghosttown at Sundown
History/Bible Reader and Summary Response with Vocabulary: Jesus Goes Back to Heaven
Weekly Poem with Short vowel review "Singing Ducks"
Long a practice: ay, ai a -e,
10 minute break
Easy Peasy Homeschool:
History: King Tut and his treasures
Science: Body Review/Joints
Literacy: Patrica Polacco Books with Summaries: Chicken Sunday
LUNCH 30 Minute Break
PE at Home video
Free Choice Time for 30 minutes (usually dramatic play, crafts, or educationa TV, games)
20 minutes of computer time :math, spelling, typing, or reading (each girl gets 20 minutes)
Outside Play/Discovery at the Park
That is pretty much a typical day and the time varies on how long it takes per assignment! We do not do all things everyday! Tomorrow they will not have PE and Easy Peasy will be different and there will be no art.
