Today we spent alot of time getting ahead on our lessons because this Friday, Paul is off of work :) He will have a 4 day weekend and the girls want to be off with Daddy so they doubled up and did two days of work today instead of one. We could easily spend 2 hours a day on our lesson but typically end up spending about 4 but that includes PE time and independent reading along with our daily lessons. Today we managed to get the following done:
Reading: Bible Reader, pre-reading/vocabulary, summary, reading, timeline, books of the bible in the Old Testament, shared reading, choral reading, familiar reading, and modeled reading with emphasis on fluency, The Wind Blew with reading journals, Raz Kids with a quiz on individualized levels.
Math: calendar, skip counting, math facts addition and subtraction, counting numbers to 40, math pages in Singapore unit 27
Science: two water experiments on water's skin with discussion, we will do one each day
PE: Kick to Get Fit, Jr.and outside play time :)
Art: Lesson #4 in our drawing booklets and lesson 2 at Look with Me art book, making a pot holder (we were supposed to weave a basket but the pot holder was much easier ;))
Writing: journals, summary, reading journals,
Word Study: oa words, rainbow words, list making, sounding out, building, added to our chart
