We had a pretty easy and slow week and it was much needed after such a busy weekend last time! We spent the week cleaning this out and organizing and the girls did a few assignments to keep up their skills. We did get the chance to have a fun three day weekend to celebrate Memorial Day!!
On Saturday we went on our weekly trip to the library and the kids played and also got some new books.I also checked out alot of ocean books because I am going to get the girls tarted on an ocean lap book for their summer project!! We are pretty excited because I am going to let the girls pick and choose what they want to learn and do and put in their lapbooks so they will each be different!
We also went out to ToadSuck park and played and did a little trail out to the water! They kids loved it and now they want to go camping! We shall see! Sunday we spent the day in Greenbrier with church and family. Then on Monday we grilled our favorite hot dogs and went out to Woolly Hollow State Park, a place that has lots of fun childhood memories for me! My mom went with us and we rented paddle boats and swam as well as created fun childhood memories for my kids!
All three of them had the best time and we plan on going back again and packing our lunch and staying a bit longer, though three hours was a fair amount of time!
This week Paul will finish up his school year and then we will have lots of time to explore, learn, and play this summer! We have lots of ideas on how to keep busy on a budget!
