Today we took a little fun day and didn't focus so much on academics. We didn't add anything to our lapbooks but we did learn and have fun. Today is our weekly craft/library day and I was so excited that the craft this week fit our study, the kid made a treasure chest!
Aren't they cute! They had a fun time. Afterwards we went to the park for a picnic lunch and some play/PE time. The weather is so nice right now we want to enjoy it as long as we can.
The girls each had to read a book this morning and it could be any book they chose. Audrey read a horse book and Ally read a few chapters of a fairy book. Part of unschooled is student choice!
The girls also found a ton more fish and ocean activities in our art books so they each chose one of them to do today. They love this! Here is Audrey's choice. He colors fish practicing using colored pencils with a focus on tropical colors. She also used markers to color a beach scene but I didn't snap a pic before she fave it to Pawpaw!
